New Lister Image Update

tim -

We've significantly upgraded the image section on the new inkFrog lister.  This upgrade will allow you to manage your images from the lister faster and easier than before.  We've also added a brand new uploader to the new lister.  This is the fastest image uploader we have.  Also, the new uploader gives you the ability to overwrite, watermark, rotate and re-size your images when uploading them directly to a listing.  Oh yeah, the 'Search' feature is super fast too!  It will also retain the options you choose to speed up the process of your uploads.

If you currently use the legacy system, log in to the new inkFrog and give the new system a try by listing a few items.  We think you will really like the new image system and uploader.

All I want to do is add my photos directly into the listing. I DO NOT WANT the extra steps involved in having to look at the whole gallery every time! This was so easy in legacy.  Also quit forcing me to use a product number on unique one of a kind items. Legacy lets me opt out new does not.

    It sucks I can't even get to my pics I am using chrome and I can only upload through the old ink frog. I am really upset with thisl.;

@ lazulifawn - can you give me more details? What do you mean you can't get to your pics?

@ midnightkitty - the new image popup opens extremely fast and it should just be one extra click to get to the uploader. I'll see about making another popup as well for the uploader only.

Ok I go to upload and then I hit add files   I can get to my pics but I am not going to set there all day uploading them one at a time so I went to the old ink frog and they went right up

I am using Google Chrome and have been right along so I have no idea why this new program does not work for me, I hate it anyways.

You do not have to upload them one at a time, hold your 'shift' key down and select all of your images, then click on the 'open'  to put these into the uploader. This will upload them all in bulk.

I have several issues with the new lister.  First - when I try to upload my pics I get this error message:  Aurigma Upload Suite - No valid license key specified for current website. If you see this message contact site administrator.  Second - the only way I can see that I am able to rotate my pictures prior to uploading is by using Java/Active X (Beta) which I used a long time ago with Legacy Inkfrog but stopped using because my pictures weren't clear using that method.  I switched to Flash and it worked fine.  With the new lister, I can't see how to rotate or even SEE my pictures within Inkfrog prior to uploading.  I have a Mac and use Safari as my browser.

I think I have figured it out we will see next week I only list once a week so there may be other issues.  Thanks for your input. Jo

@**zjsugarbear - **you will see the thumbnail/rotate option when you get around that licensing issue with Safari. I think this is a cache issue that you have. Can you clear your browsers cache/cookies and see if that works? Also, just to try it out, can you try using Chrome and see how it works for you?

Adding to my original comments, I just want to clarify that I can't see how to rotate pictures using the HTML5/Flash tab.  I can see how to rotate them using Java/ActiveX but as I stated, prefer not to use that, nor CAN I since I get the error message stated in my prior post.

@zjsugargear -- Are you uploading from the 'images' tab or from the lister ?  Can you try uploading from the lister?

also note, the 'java/active x' tab in the 'images' tab is mislabeled, that is no longer a java uploader - that is our 'new' uploader which is the same one that is on the lister (it's great) and that is the one that will allow you to rotate.  Try using another browser to get around that licensing error you are seeing.

Confirmed, that license error is happening from the 'images' tab but not the 'lister' directly. I'll have that fixed here very soon. In the meantime, upload from the lister directly and it will work

Went back and tried again. Can't even get the pictures to load now... just keeps hanging.  Plus, I don't want the pictures to load from my computer into the image folder and then have to look for each one again individually and then load them into my listing.  Takes way too long and is very frustrating.

I want to load directly from my computer straight into the listing like legacy does

@midnightkitty - try now and you should see this option!

Ok - I just gave the new lister ANOTHER TRY!!! -- It only loaded part of my pictures in my listing then had part of the pics on my saved area mixed up so I had to look for the 16 that was to be in my listing -some were MIA.   I did load them on the legacy site but shouldn't they still all be there on the new site too??? I had already loaded them, renamed them on the Legacy when I saw the msg that the new one had a "new" pic uploader so decided at that point to try it...   I'll stick with LEGACY -- as long as I can - until we are forced to move on..  I like it and it loads and works great for me... But I "did" try the new one again...

@josiesmom - try starting from scratch in the new site. Upload and select completely from the new site. It can cause issues if you go back/forth

Please give a generous notice before you eventually force everyone to use the new site.  I am simply tired of trying to explain all my issues and grievances with the new site.  None of my issues have been resolved even though you stated they would "be worked on".  I am not being paid to be your guinea pig and it is unfair of you to charge the same price while expecting the community to be your beta testers.  It is too time consuming and my spare time is something that I am no longer willing to give you for free.  I will not work on the new site.

Thank You and Have a Pleasant Day

@assortedbraincandy - please do not feel the need to post or explain -- this is just for people who want to offer feedback and participate. At the end of the day, i'm trying to help.

@assortedbraincandy -- i think you were waiting for the WYSIWYG update.. here is my post in the other forum:

Just to update everyone on the WYSIWYG issue - we have added the option in the 'preferences' page in inkFrog (new site) to specify if you want the 'source' view to show by default. Many of you have asked for this.  Once you set this in your preferences, make sure you logout and log back in for it to be in place.

thanks for adding the new tab! I just tried it and the picture popped right in after I chose the one I wanted. Then I had to look for the upload button because it is not in plain sight but is hidden and you have to use a scroll bar to make it show (grrrrrr an unnecessary step).  After clicking upload, the blue progress bar zooms right over to the middle like the image is half loaded but it hangs there and never goes any further. I have tried this several times using different images and it never loads. Also I could never find any of  the images I loaded right before my original complaint.  Legacy is still the best for me at this point, but I am not giving up, just waiting. I appreciate your quick responses and caring about what we say.

@midnightkitty -- can you take a screenshot of what you mean? I can't seem to recreate this so something is different that you are doing or maybe it's something specific to your computer or resolution/browser etc. A screenshot will greatly help.

    Hi Greg,

Okay, I tried the new lister using Chrome, and everything seems OK with one exception.  First off, I am uploading the pictures through the Images folder, not directly from the lister.   I am uploading through the 'new flash uploader' tab.  Here is the problem.....check my Ebay item number 380712419442.  It is a purple Under Armour hoodie.  All the pictures were uploaded from the Legacy site PLUS I uploaded one of the same pictures from the New Lister images folder.  When you are in the Ebay listing and enlarge all those pictures, all the pictures that were uploaded through the Legacy site enlarge properly.  The ONE picture that I uploaded from the New site over enlarges the picture and zooms in too close.  And I am talking about clicking on the pictures in the description section of the listing, not the pictures at the very top.  You will see that the very first picture is the same as the last, but the first picture over enlarges while the last picture does not. Is there a way to fix this?

I tried the new image lister, and it would not load my photos.  I contact live chat for help, and after being in live chat for over an hour with no resolution, I refuse to use it again.

@**zjsugarbear - **upload your images from the lister and resize them to the size you want - we do the bigger images on purpose (eBay wants them big and many users have requested it) - but if you upload from the lister you will have more control of what size they are. You don't have to create a listing (just upload and you are good).

This is terrible. Why is this any better? Appears to be designed by a techie rather than a user.
